The '''Cult of Reason''' was set up during the [[French Revolution]] by French revolutionaries Hebert, Chaumette, and Cloots on November 10, 1793. The cult abolished the worship of [[God]] in [[France]], and instead called for the worship of reason.  During the strong waxing and waning of power positions during the revolution, the three fell out of favor during a sudden change and were quickly executed by [[Robespierre]] on March 24, 1794, effectively ending the outlawing of religion in France.
