The Vistula river is Poland's largest and longest river. It rises in the beskidy mountains in southern Poland and flows in a mainly northward direction. It flows through the cities of Kraków,Sandomierz and Warsaw and empties into the Bay of Gdańsk on the Baltic Sea.
