Pruning is the act of cutting, trimming, or removing extra or unnecessary growth from plants. The purpose is for fruit and flower production, visually appealing decoration, limited space, removing diseased portions, or training a bush to become a tree. In either case, it encourages plant health.
A prune is also a dried plum.
Prune-like means wrinkled.
