Dr. William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr., born July 12, 1937 (age 88), is an American actor and comedian. He is famous for his role on The Cosby Show, the highest rated show in television at that time, his Jello advertisements, his children's comedy cartoon Fat Albert and his comedy albums.
In 1976, he earned a doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Bill Cosby and his wife suffered the tragic loss of their adult son. The killer is currently in prison for his crime.
Cosby angered many people when he voiced criticism of the African-American community's acceptance of single-parent households, high crime rates and other problems. He has also said black people in America should not blame white people for the problems black people face today and should take personal responsibility to better themselves[1]. For this reason, Cosby is highly regarded amongst conservatives who feel the same way. [1]
