Domestication is the process of taming a living thing or otherwise converting it to domestic uses.[1] It is part of man's dominion over the world, granted by God.[2] Regarding the taming of animals, the Epistle of James says the following: "For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind."[3]
