The book of Amos records his words while he was among the herdmen of Tekoa. He prophesied during the days of Uzziah, king of Judah, two years before the earthquake.
In summary, he said, Thus saith the Lord, you are wicked and you will be destroyed. He spoke of many different nations but particularly to Isreal and Judah. The conquest of these other countries came to pass as expected, Babylon and Assyria were the conquerers God used.
