Peninsular War

The Peninsular War was a war between Napoleonic France and Spain from 1808 to 1813. The guerrilla warfare of the Spaniards forced Napoleon to keep a large force in Spain and therefore contributed to the weakening and eventual fall of his empire.
It was part of the greater Napoleonic Wars.
