Expenditure
From Conservapedia
An expenditure is the spending of money.
The term is used in connection with spending by government and non-profit organizations.
It differs from the term "expense" used in the for-profit realm, in that an expense may have incurred even if no cash has been spent (such as office supplies bought on credit), while cash may have been spent prior to an expense being incurred (such as the purchase of an asset subject to depreciation).
