Ronald Reagan, Jesse Ventura, Fred Thompson, Arnold Schwarz., Sonny Bono, that guy from the Love Boat, that guy from Dukes of Hazzard...I can't think of a single Democrat who ran a successful campaign. Heck, aside from Fraken, I think think of one who ran. Any thoughts? CraigC 00:30, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

That is really interesting considering how liberal Hollywood is considered to be. FernoKlumpLook at this petition! 00:34, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

Interesting. Don't forget Clint Eastwood. DanH 00:36, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

Actually, Jesse Ventura was an independent, not a Republican. --Jareddr 10:15, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
And "that guy from Dukes of Hazzard", aka Ben Jones, ran and won a Congressional seat in 1988 and 1990...as a Democrat. So you can now say that not only do you know of an actor who ran as a Democrat, but won too! --Jareddr 10:19, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
Technically an "actor" for his role for in a few TV episodes, Jerry Springer was Democratic mayor of Cincy before becoming an actor, the reverse of your question. --Jareddr 10:22, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
Nice points everyone! I forgot about Springer and was wrong about Jones. CraigC 10:36, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
