Hieronymus Bosch (born Jeroen Anthoniszoon van Aken) (Hertogenbosch ca. 1450 – Bolduque 1516) was a Dutch Renaissance painter . In Spanish is better known as "el Bosco". His works frequently depict sin, evil, and human moral failings; some of them are triptychs.
Some writers saw him as inventor of monsters and chimeras inspired by medieval heresies, but for others he was a sort of 15th century surrealist.
Several of his works are at the Prado Museum in Madrid.
