Procreation

Procreation is the process of conceiving and bearing offspring. It is the most essential activity of all forms of life, from the virus to man. In multicellular life (and even in some single-celled animals), procreation occurs as a result of sexual activity, in which genes are combined from a male and female of a species to produce offspring with hybrid vigor.

Some ancient philosophers believe that it is in man's nature to procreate as often as possible to ensure that his genetic traits are passed on. In nature this is apparent as many animals do not have just one mate. [1]

Religious View

Many interpert the Bible and other holy scriptures to say that procreation in humans is a holy act only to be performed between a married man and woman. Its purpose it to further the races of God's children. Procreation is a natural act that is the act that occurs when a marriage is consummated.
