Rosemary's Baby is a psychological-horror movie released in 1968 about a woman (Rosemary) who becomes concerned that an organization of witches is after her unborn child. The movie was based on a book by the same title that was published in 1987. The book has a sequel titled Son of Rosemary
Rosemary is played by Mia Farrow and is cast as the heroine or rather, victim in the movie.

Awards
Ruth Gordon won an Oscar in 1969 for best actress in a supporting roll. The movie, as well as several of the actors were also nominated and won several other rewards, including a Golden Globe, which was also awarded to Ruth Gordon.
