Tim Burns (b. April 14, 1968, - ) is the Republican candidate in the May 18th special election for U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania's District 12, deceased John Murtha's seat. That seat has been held by Murtha since 1974, when he won it in a special election. Tim was a small business owner prior to running for the House. He has the support of the national GOP as well as the conservatives Sarah Palin and Dick Armey, representing the Tea Party movement. He is running against Democrat Mark Critz. Per his website

History
Tim Burn's was born in West Virginia. Early in life, the family relocated to Pennsylvania, Hornerstown section of Johnstown (Cambria County) . Tim would graduate from Johnstown High School in 1986. Four years later, Tim obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
In 1992, Tim founded a pharmacy technology company. Before selling the company in 2003, he employed over 400 workers. Tim is a practicing Catholic and has two sons.
