I think that this article should be merged with Chester Arthur. -Additioner 13:48, 18 August 2007 (EDT)

Now I find out, that instead of relying on my own knowledge, composing my own sentences, figuring out my own grammar, sweating over keeping on top of my generally lousy spelling, looking for other-language accents (but not always, eh Vargas?), for many scores of thousands of words for hundreds of articles on dozens of subjects, I could have just copy-and-pasted the relevant articles from the online 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica and other publications out of copyright. How easy is that? AlanE (talk) 22:26, 18 November 2016 (EST)

What's wrong with "all of the above"? Progressingamerica (talk) 22:38, 18 November 2016 (EST)
What is the point of having a reference site that is nothing but copies of older references? Did you learn about this man while you were doing this? Why did you not say: see such and such a website? I could have written my medieval history of England by this method. I didn't. No one else did either. Some of us actually know what we are talking about. And that matters. Reference? The page was 1095 bytes long. You couldn't seriously have been referencing much from it. If you want to build out the page, feel free. But you hadn't made any updates to it since 2007. Progressingamerica (talk) 20:18, 19 November 2016 (EST)
