Aledo is a suburb on the far western side of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas.
Controversial conservative historian David Barton graduated from Aledo High School. The school is an elite program in football, having won eight state titles (tied for the most among any program with Celina, Katy, and Southlake Carroll in 11-man football and Richland Springs in six-man football).
