From Conservapedia
Björk Guðmundsdóttir (born 21 November 1965), better known as Björk, is an Icelandic singer-songwriter, actress, composer and producer known for her eccentric musical style and bizarre stage persona.[1] Her career in popular music began in 1986 as a member of the Icelandic alternative rock band, The Sugarcubes. In 1990, she was briefly in the jazz group Björk Guðmundsdóttir & tríó Guðmundar Ingólfssonar. Following the demise of The Sugarcubes in 1992, she launched her own solo career which, to date, has spanned eight albums and two original film soundtracks.
