Mark Latham is a former Australian politician who is known for his often violent temper and mood swings.[1] Latham headed the Labor Party during the 2004 election campaign. Before entering Parliament Latham worked as an adviser for Gough Whitlam. Latham served as the member for Werriwa in New South Wales and was formerly mayor of Liverpool. He decided to contest the Australian federal election and won comfortably. Latham then went on to continuously hold a Senate seat until deciding not to contest the Australian federal election of 2004. His term expired on 30 June 2005
