Well I don't really think that the argument for scientific progress is "It's impossible to prove that a theory is right no matter how many experiments agree with it, but if one single experiment disagrees with it, then the theory must be wrong." Science is defined as proving existing theories wrong, but the statement I quoted above is somewhat extreme-- in fact, not true at all. Some theories become law if they are absolutely not proven wrong, but one set of results can never prove or disprove a theory-- it takes repeated experiments and testing to even form a theory.
