Talk:Whitewash

"Whitewashing is a tactic frequently used by Liberals."

I removed the sentence above from the article. While I agree that liberals often use this tactic, the same is true of pretty much every side. I could have replaced "liberal" with "conservatives", and the statement would still have been (trivially) true.

So unless somebody produces a reliable source that actually shows that liberals are much more likely than conservatives in using whitewash, I am against such silly blanket statements. Let's be reasonable here; we're trying to build an encyclopedia, not trying to smear some political group. --DirkB 16:27, 29 August 2008 (EDT)
