Wildflower (1991) is a sweet southern tale of a young girl (Patricia Arquette) condemned to live in rags and filth in a shack by her abusive father, because of her epileptic fits and partial deafness. She's befriended by neighbors, a brother and sister, paragons of Christian virtue, who clean her up and get her an education.

This is one of those rare films that depicts young love in a tender, realistic and pure way.

Starring Reese Witherspoon at 15 years old, before she became famous.
