Daniel in the Lions' Den by the painter Peter Paul Rubens

Daniel was a prophet who lived during the time of Nebuchadnezzar and Darius's reign in Babylon. He is renowned for writing the Book of Daniel, which prophesies parts of the End Times.

Daniel is known for interpreting King Darius' dreams when his magicians and astrologers could not. God gave him wisdom "ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers" of Babylon,[1] and his wisdom was known as far as the land of Israel.[2]

The prophet Daniel was able to interpret The Writing on the Wall mentioned in Daniel 5:5-29 ESV
