Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are a professional basketball team based in Dallas, Texas. The franchise has been a member of the NBA since its founding in 1980. The team is owned by outspoken billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, who has been fined by the NBA multiple times for his criticisms of game officials. The team won the Western Conference during the 2005-2006 season, and lost to the Miami Heat in the NBA finals. The team's captain and greatest star is Dirk Nowitzki, a power forward from Germany.
