AC/DC is an Australian rock band. They formed in the 1970s and have been one of the most popular rock bands ever since. Popular frontman Bon Scott died of an accidental overdose of alcohol in 1980. The band continued on after recruiting frontman Brian Johnson, who sounds similar to Scott. Johnson was a popular replacement and the band enjoyed success up to the mid-1980s. In addition to Johnson, the band consists of brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd. Malcolm Young has had to leave the band due to dementia. He has been replaced by Stevie Young, who also replaced Malcolm whilst he was undergoing treatment for alcoholism. Phil Rudd has been replaced by former drummer Chris Slade due to attempted murder charges. In 2016, Brian Johnson had to leave the band as he claimed "he was going to go deaf if he was at another concert", so they replaced him with the lead singer of Guns N' Roses, Axl Rose. Cliff Williams also retired after their last concert so far in September 2016. He was replaced by a bassist named Marcus Reddick. In 2017, Malcolm Young died from dementia.
