Amy Winehouse (14 September 1983 – 23 July 2011[1]) was a popular British singer-songwriter whose prodigious vocal and composing talent have been overshadowed by a private life characterised by Hollywood values at their most extreme, involving excessive consumption of alcohol and illegal drugs. Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, served 7 months in prison for assault and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
