Liz Cheney
Liz Cheney is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Second Lady Lynne Cheney, a candidate for U.S. Congress and an American political tactician. Cheney also worked as a news broadcaster, filling in for Bill O'Reilly on Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor among other broadcast roles.
Cheney has practiced law and served in the State Department as a senior Middle East advisor. From 2009-2013, she chaired Keep America Safe, "a non-profit organization that was instrumental in preventing President Obama from transferring terrorists detained at Guantanamo—including the mastermind of 9/11, Khaled Sheikh Mohamed—into the United States."[1]
Candidate for U.S. Congress
On February 1, 2016, Cheney announced her candidacy for the Wyoming at-large open seat in the House of Representatives as a Republican.
