Absalom Robertson

Absalom Willis Robertson (May 27, 1887 – November 1, 1971) was a Virginia Democrat who served as a representative from the state's 7th congressional district and U.S. senator for several terms. He was allied with the political organization of Sen. Harry F. Byrd, though differed with Byrd on some issues.
He was the father of televangelist Pat Robertson.
