Baarle-Hertog is a Belgian municipality in the province of Antwerp. Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau are two municipalities that divide the town of Baarle on the border between the Netherlands and Belgium. The international border that separates both municipalities in 30 enclaves runs criss-cross through houses, gardens and streets. The border is marked with white crosses on the roads and each household's nationality is determined by the location of its front door, and is indicated by the flag on the street numbers of the building.[1]
