Cannabis and lungs: cannabis harms lungs even worse than smoking tobacco does, according to a study in 2022.[1]

One possible reason for the greater harm by cannabis is that cannabis smoking is unfiltered, thereby inhaling more particles, while tobacco smoking is filtered.[1] Also, pot smokers tend to hold the smoke in their lungs longer, which could increase the harm.[1]
