Friedrich Spee

Friedrich Spee (February 25, 1591 – August 7, 1635) was a German Jesuit priest best known for his opposition to the European Witch Trials. He authored the widely-read book Cautio Criminalis which is believed to have brought about the abolition of witch burning.
