Centers for Disease Prevention and Control

The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, or CDC, is an agency within the United States Department of Health and Human Services. CDC consists of a number of centers that focus on various aspects of public health and safety. CDC is responsible for tracking the incidence of diseases and injuries nationwide, and for applying disease prevention and control programs. CDC's headquarters are located near Atlanta, Georgia.
