Christine Todd Whitman

Christine Todd Whitman (born 1946) is a former Governor of New Jersey (1994-2001), and the administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency (2001-2003) under President George W. Bush. She is a Republican. After leaving the Bush administration she published a book, It's My Party, Too: Taking Back the Republican Party... And Bringing the Country Together Again (2005) that was highly critical of President Bush. She has opposed restrictions on abortion,[1] and supports gay marriage.[2]

Before her election as governor in 1993, she was the unsuccessful GOP candidate for the United States Senate in 1990 against Bill Bradley.
