Christmas at Denny's

Christmas at Denny's is a Christian song performed by Randy Stonehill, featured on his 1989 album Return to Paradise.

The song is told from the standpoint of a man who is spending Christmas, along with other down-and-out patrons, at Denny's (which at the time of the song was always open 24/7/365). He once had a family and a middle-class job, but when his daughter was killed by a car and his wife took to alcohol to ease the pain, it was too much; he hitched a ride away from his family. He has lost all hope in Christmas or anything else for that matter.
