Das Lied von der Glocke

Das Lied von der Glocke (The Song of the Bell) is one of the most important German poems. It was published by Friedrich Schiller in 1798, and though it may not often be recited in full, many verses became proverbs and are easily recognizable.

Max Bruch put it to music in 1872.
