Grace Hopper

Admiral Grace Murray Hopper was an early pioneer in computer software. She led the team that designed the COBOL programming language and wrote its compiler. She popularized the usage of the term bug to refer to a software error, in reference to an incident where a moth literally caused a computer to fail.
