Paint.NET v3.0's interface

Paint.NET is free image creation and editing software written in the C# programming language under the .Net 2.0 framework. It was originally an undergraduate college senior design project mentored by Microsoft, intended as a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with Windows. It is now being actively developed into a fully featured image manipulation program similar to Adobe Photoshop.

It has its own extension, PDN, standing for "Paint Dot Net".
