This could use some cleaning. There are very cogent arguments to be made against "special class" legislation without turning it into an anti-homosexual screed. By doing so, it becomes a more powerful, and persuasive, article.--Dave3172 00:28, 8 March 2007 (EST)

Section 8 -
Provides that nothing in this Act shall be construed to prohibit expressive conduct or activities protected by the First Amendment. From here U2 23:35, 22 July 2007 (EDT)
The issue in this legistlation is over "actual or percieved", and is somewhat tangential to the discussion on hate speech. Also, other classes of persons who have been the targets of hate were specifically rejected by the Committee to be included as a protected class. RobS 00:09, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
