Talk:Popular songs based on the Bible

If you are going to class Handel's Messiah as a popular song, then on this page you would have to include just about every Mass composed by every composer from Missa Tournai(the first complete mass)dating from the 13th Century right through Palestrina' Miss Papape Marcelli, Bach's B Minor, Mozart's Requiem and Betthoven's Missa Solemnis to current offerings such as the 'Armed Man' by Karl Jenkins AND all of the other things which now fall into this category Like 'Te Deum' by Mark Antoine Charpentier (17th Century), not to mention other stuff like the dreadful Millennium Prayer by Cliff Richard. --Felix 06:28, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
