The Holy Bible is an album by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers released on August 30, 1994.
Lyrics and music
The album's songs contain lyrics written about numerous dark subjects including anorexia, the Holocaust, depression, suicide, British imperialism, capital punishment and authoritarianism.
The music on The Holy Bible was largely influenced by British punk, post-punk and new wave artists including Joy Division, Gang of Four and Siouxsie and the Banshees.
