The "Democracy in Iraq" Question

It's an interesting point as to whether democracy can work in an Islamic country, given that it seems to be working in Turkey. However, I don't think a transition from a borderline theocracy to western democracy can work well. And do we want democracy in the Middle East? Look at what happened in Iran and Palestine after elections. DanH 18:13, 13 February 2008 (EST)
