Waxahachie, Texas

Waxahachie (wahks-a-hatch-ee) is a city in Texas, roughly 30 miles south of Dallas.

It is notable for its county courthouse (being the county seat of Ellis County), which when built was one of the most elaborate and expensive of its day.

Southwestern Assemblies of God University is located in the city.
