'''Babur''' (1483-1530; reigned 1526-1530), full birth name ''Ẓahīr-ud-Dīn Muhammad'' was the founder of the [[Mughal]] Empire in northern [[India]].  Babur was born in the city of Andijan of the Timurid Empire, now modern-day [[Uzbekistan]].  He was descended from both [[Tamerlane]] and [[Genghis Khan]].  In 1526 he captured [[Delhi]]. Babur was a homosexual. Sultan Mahmud Mirza, the uncle of Babur, wrote in Tuzuk-i-baburi, "He took beautiful boys of his noblemen and admitted them into his "boys" harem. He surrounded himself with scores of beautiful boys.
