==Eulogy==

Many eulogies are for people who are still alive.  Aristotle called this speaking epideicticly.  I don't know what I'm talking about.

All who know me know what a positive person I am, having admired Trump, but I am still learning.  In that spirit, allow me to eulogize my favorite same-sex-loving person, Christopher Ciccone.

I was just looking at my 1985 high school yearbook.  The four years of classes voted Madonna (Ciccone) "Best female vocalist".  Most every girl in those classes was out of my league at the time, so I guess I have to admit they knew more than me about some things.  Anyway, it turns out Christopher claimed he designed Madonna's looks.  People say her singing wasn't that great despite being the vocalist on a number of good songs, so her looks probably were a significant part of her appeal, and Christopher would deserve a lot of credit for her success.

Christopher became a well-respected interior designer and designed Madonna's beautiful and exquisitely tasteful mansion when she was rich and famous.  And when she turned on him, he wrote a book about her that was fair about her trying to improve her sympathy towards her male companions, but still proved she was disloyal to people, said he nearly threw a punch at her pretty-boy newlywed husband for patronizing him and walked out of her life when she wouldn't stop doing to him all the things caused by what people have come to dislike about her. You'll notice I used the word "love" in what could be taken in two different senses.  This is a portal for communication among encyclopedia writers, so I think the writers who profess such ability should be able to handle this much ambiguity.  If they think otherwise, I might mention it would be just as much their fault as mine for not seeing that as something upon which to be remarked. 

People can use the word "love" in numerous ways and end in ambiguity and indeed contradiction.  If you pay attention, you'll realize in one sense "love" can be Divine, in another ungodly. == New Project Started ==

Hello Conservapedia editors!  Yesterday I started [[Conservapedia:Project Current Events]] and I just wanted to invite anyone that wants to help out on the Project.  The idea is similar to Wikipedia’s “Current Event WikiProject”, which I am the lead coordinator of, so hopefully Conservapedia can stay up to date on major current events. == Discussion for a possible new Wikipedia Article ==

Should a new article be started for discussions on Wikipedia that have major effects?  (An example of one is [[Elijahandskip#Biden–Ukraine conspiracy theory article]]).  Or, should the discussion details be added to [[Wikipedia]] or [[Examples of Bias in Wikipedia]].  I don't really know if they should go in the examples of bias article, because some aren't really a "bias" per say, but have extreme lasting effects on Wikipedia. ::Well I wasn't just thinking about that discussion in general.  I have been a part of tons of 'major' discussion on Wikipedia.  One also involved Wikipedia removing information about US Governor Impeachment efforts (Both Republican and Democratic governor impeachment efforts). :::Me personally, I'm all for bringing controversial questions that are squashed in Wikipedia here, and even making full-blown mainspace articles of them (see for example [[Murder of Seth Rich]], [[Clinton donors in the Panama Papers]] and [[Naked short selling]], for example. These are all full-blown articles that were censored in WP).  The problem is not making just stub articles out of them. If there is only stub material, then it can go into the Biases in WP article with a link back to WP referencing the controversy. == Conservapedia Scope ==

Just thought I'd ask the community here, but does anyone like the idea of Conservapedia allowing for a scope about as large as Wikipedia, but with obvious exceptions (e.g. no media that glorifies sin or is beyond vile). Perhaps allowing for some subjects that Wikipedia would not allow under their general notability guideline. Example: I made a [[Bulbasaur]] article & might make more [[Pokemon]] articles to accommodate the growing base of conservative gamers -- Wikipedia won't allow for articles on "non-notable" subjects and tend to take it too far, and perhaps this is an issue that Conservapedia can address. Although Wikipedia has an article on Bulbasaur, there are several other Pokemon that they simply merge in a list & so I wondered if a way to differentiate is have a subject on all Pokemon. There's probably a lot of students who would be eager to write essays on Pokemon if it were, let's say, a homework subject. At same time, having a guide for parents about Pokemon and the series because some conservative parents might feel uncomfortable about the series. == Offline Conservapedia archive ==

I've undertaken an effort to create an offline archive of Conservapedia in OpenZim format that can be used for any of the following:
* Homeschool parents who want to give their kids access without opening them up to the rest of the internet.
* People in rural (homesteaders) or remote areas (missionaries) with little or no internet access.
* Preppers who are trying to keep archives of important data in case the access to the internet is lost or severely censored.

I'm using the <code>mwoffliner</code> tool but I discovered that the version of Mediawiki running on the site needs to be updated for compatibility with that tool. I went ahead and created a clone of Conservapedia on my home computer using the latest version on Docker. As I started to archive the site with <code>mwoffliner</code> there are a few pages that I stumbled upon that had issues causing errors with the archival. I would like to offer my help to the community at large with contributing back these corrections and to share the finished ZIM file when it is ready. Is there anyone who would like to join me in this effort? It would be especially helpful if someone could help by upgrading the site from the current version of 1.24.2 to 1.36.1 or later. I'm willing to pitch in if needed.

:I know the current version level of the site is incompatible with some modern tools, and that is unfortunate. While I have no say in the upgrade decision, my understanding is that it probably won't be happening for some time. 1.24 offers features and options with were removed or changed in later versions.
:As for the issues you noted, you might want to check logs, and see if any pages in particular are giving you issues. There are a few pages with weird (typically ASCII) symbol codes, or NBS characters, which can mess with API calls. ==Rambling questions and complaints==

:1-2. How does RobS get away with moving the section about my challenge to User:Telling about the factuality of his addition to [[Ilhan Omar]]'s page regarding the person herself shortly after I left Conservapedia to do other things in Spring or Summer of 2021 a second time?  Are we to assume he meant the restoring of some of my user tools were to serve as some kind of payoff for allowing him to move it to the talk page?

:3-4. How does that reflect on myself and Conservapedia?  That's not a fitting picture by which I would wish to be portrayed.  Why would Conservapedia allow this same unfitting picture be used to portray its administrator Rob Smith who carried out this belittling task not just under this scandalous condition but on an earlier occasion without the condition attached as well?

:I say belittling advisedly, because this whole implied transaction also tends to dwarf the fact that he removed many remarks I made afterward that couched my reply in a context providing a fuller view of the parties and the situation in which they had placed themselves with respect to the challenge, particularly the deserts of making use of the Talk:Main Page for such purposes, which really ought to be honored or at least the consideration of which remarks made mention.

:LT gave a speech about supposed left-wing anti-Semitism and did it in a fairly public place.  He made remarks about Ilhan Omar, and the new information I presented about User:Telling might have shifted the weight of the balance in the other direction toward anti-Semitism not really being a factor in left-wing politics, or rather, in the leadership type of capacity, the subject in which the supposed anti-Semitism was taking place that he tried to advance through those remarks.

:5. Why doesn't LT have to stand up for himself in that same public place and defend his decision upon the presentation of new evidence about the factuality of the information User:Telling caused to appear on Ilhan Omar's entry page that would have been relevant to his decision?

:6. And why doesn't User:Telling have to defend the ''non sequitur'' he made about Ilhan Omar based on the evidence he himself presented in the same place I rehearsed the actions he took a few months after I left so it can help LT determine whether what he proposed about Ilhan Omar were true or not, and which may very well be prejudicial to that woman's honor?

:7. Further, based on evidence of my view of Recent Changes, why was User:Telling permitted to carry out odd jobs unrelated to the factuality challenge I posed to his contributions the very next day, while having failed to have answered the challenge, admittedly without the additional context Rob Smith removed providing further documentation of importance to the issues being discussed.

:8. And why doesn't User:RobSmith himself have to defend [depicting ''VM''] my careful delineative description of the situation as "trash-talk" towards another editor?  He even erased my indignant but polite reply to that qualitative description when he moved it to the talk page, so had User:Telling seen it, he would have been misled into thinking I had no answer for this Administrator's expressions of harsh disappoval after many hours, when it had been a matter of a few minutes.

:What's as bad, is that I ''don't'' have access to the Talk:Main_Page history, so I can neither restore the replies I made to you about that hostile reference you made nor any of the other remarks I made in the context of misconduct.  

:Time is of the essence in matters like this, when persons' reputations are dangling, so this forces me to reply on an ''ad hoc'' basis, increasing the probability of inflammatory words being exchanged due to the rigid propriety required due to persons' reputations and the likelihood of it being scoured in ''minutiae'' for defects by which the entirety of the passages complaining of misconduct against persons gets thrown out altogether ''versus'' the need to promptly render aid to the persons' reputations, which may be at risk of damage as people arrive to view the discussion or what passed transitorily according to the Talk:Main_page history and, to top it off, a history to which I have been denied access of view.

:Paranoia often emerges from tension between broadly contrary or unevenly-scaled choices between which we must maintain a balance.  I think it's fair to characterize {{personal remark removed}} This disregard for the mental state of the clients of Conservapedia on a sensitive subject, which fortunately didn't affect me, is an unfortunate disregard for the condition in which a response to the cumbersome tasks requiring careful concern to carry out that he placed before them to accomplish.

:Let's add a third-diversely contrary or differently-scaled tension, though others could be mentioned, a subject upon which I'll draw to a conclusion: working on the Lord's Day.  What would have happened if midway through this complaint the work had suddenly become onerous, and I would have been unable to continue.  Time would have ticked by slowly as the onus of protecting reputations would have formed a vicious circle, or worse, a chaotic system, with my unwillingness to work onerously, until the feelings of laboriousness would have settled down, before which point it could very well have been a factor of overinterest to my mind.  And yet I'm somehow asked to take these potential ordeals lightly and render them as of no account.

:By the way, I don't regard these complaints as provocations, but how do you invalidate something like that, after all. ::I didn't entitle this section "Rambling questions and complaints", someone else did.  It was moved over here from Talk:Main Page.  I wouldn't regard them as rambling at all.  I looked to Recent Changes, and the record didn't go back beyond 7 days.  So once again, I'm expected to absorb an insult, while others aren't held accountable for making them.  In fact the insult I mentioned about Ilhan Omar in mainspace still remains.  The very last item in Recent Changes had Andy Schlafly writing in the edit summary about a fellow who was benched two seasons and then made it big in the NFL.  Well, as long as that guy's happy (the guy to which Andy is referring), that's what matters, doesn't it.

::What I think is happening here is things have been rigged so certain people always end up successful or have the scales of equity tipped in their favor regardless of what just treatment would require.  And by "here" I meant worldwide.  I can't imagine manipulating my own opinion to attain certain fixed ends, but some people think that serves as a just treatment to their neighbors under God.  Or rather I can; I used to do it in matters of religious faith, but then I made a conscious decision to open my heart to my fellow Americans out of sympathy for miseries they might be experiencing through no fault of their own.  Today, I've come to the conclusion there was a lot of disordered self-pity involved on their part, and that I may have been gravely mistaken in undertaking such a willingness to let my belief float for the sake of love for my fellow man.
