'''Corner Post, Inc. v. Board of Governors''' is a 2024 [[United States Supreme Court]] opinion, which clarified the right of any person suffering injury by a Federal action, has six years from the time "the injury accrued" to file suit, even if the injury was caused by a regulation that had been passed more than six years prior to the injury (and, in the case at bar, before the company even existed).  The case involved a financial transaction fee (assessed on businesses by banks and other financial institutions) commonly known as a "swipe fee", which is a per-transaction fee whenever a debit or credit card is used, the amount of which was capped by the [[Federal Reserve]].

The opinion, issued along ideological lines (6-3), overturned lower court rulings which dismissed the case for lack of standing.
