A '''crane''' is a [[construction]] [[vehicle]] which is designed to raise and lower usually heavy [[material]]s. It can also be used to move them horizontally from one place to another. While small construction projects usually have no seed for such equipment, the crane is vital to large-scale projects, especially in the construction of tall things such as [[sky scraper]]s and high overpasses.  They are useful not only because they lift items to their destination, but also over tall obstacles and back down to the needed height.
