I seem to recall that a few [[school shootings]] were stopped when a quick-thinking teacher dashed to his parked car (note I do not say "her") and grabbed a pistol. In some cases, merely showing the loaded gun was enough to make a citizen's arrest. Why don't these cases get more publicity? I also found [http://www.secretsofsurvival.com/survival/school_shooting.html this site] which mentions the concept of armed teachers (as well as a nice mention of how kicking God out of the classroom was a bad, ''bad'' idea), but does not mention any specific case where an armed teacher aborted a school shooting.
