The Ford Thunderbird is was a personal luxury car made by Ford. It invented the genre of personal luxury car when it was released in 1955, forever altering the automotive landscape and winning countless "Car of the Year" awards. It went through many evolutions during its time changing from a drop top to a coupe and back again. It was almost always available with a V8. It was discontinued by the bean counters in 2005, but many eagerly await its return.
