How can you be so sure that the "liberals" criticizing conservative speakers were liberals, and not conservatives out to make liberals look bad by underhanded means?

We really should be honest here and recognize that the list as it stands is more decriptive of the liberal behavior more than their values. Don't you think? Liberals value many of the things we value but there are other values that they give importance to that we do not. The sanctity of the individual vs. community for example.
I think this article would be better if it was more objective and unbiased. I like the list. I think all of these things are true. But I seriously doubt that progressive liberals proudly proclaim these things as values.
