Gerhard Schröder was the seventh chancellor of Germany and member of the Socialdemocratic Party of Germany (SPD). In his tenue he supported the Afghanistan War and the War in Kosovo, but was opposed to the Operation Iraqi Freedom. Schröder improved Germany's relationship with Turkey and Russia. After his political carrier he started to work with Gazprom.
