Lee Patrick Strobel (born 25 January 1952) is a former legal reporter for the Chicago Tribune and a Christian author. The basis for his 1981 journey from atheism to Christianity is discussed in his bestselling book The Case For Christ (Zondervan, 1998). After his wife had converted to Christianity, Strobel set out to disprove the faith, and instead became convinced by the evidence for it. He has expanded on this with other similarly themed Christian apologetics books such as The Case For Faith and The Case For a Creator. He also hosted an interfaith debate show called Faith Under Fire.
Strobel's book "The Case for Christ" was later turned into a movie of the same name.
Strobel earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree in 1974 from the University of Missouri and a Master of Studies in Law degree in 1979 from Yale Law School.
