A dealership is a place where high-end products, such as automobiles, are sold to customers. Aside from sales, dealerships provide maintenance and detailing for vehicles.
Most dealerships are family owned. Tesla motors is currently the only company in America to sell vehicles directly from the manufacturer, which has ignited a firestorm of controversy from dealer associations and state governments, which are trying to promote restrictions to competition by not allowing Tesla to sell their vehicles. However, some states are reluctantly allowing Tesla to sell their cars.
